Chairman David Sheepshanks says he has had no new enquiries regarding Town players since Fulham briefly came in for Marcus Bent last week. The weekend papers were full of links between Blues' players and Premiership clubs.

Sheepshanks told TWTD: “There have been no new enquiries, although that's not to say that enquiries won't come in. Like everyone else I don't want players to go but the situation is as it has been before in that we're trying to compete for a play-off place while we may have to sell players.”

This could be an important week for the Blues with the ‘club in distress' ruling allowing Premiership clubs to buy and play Town players ending next weekend. The Premier League feels it is against the integrity of the competition to allow clubs to sign and play new players with fewer than eight matches of the season remaining. However, this would not stop them buying Town players for use in 2003/04.

The club and administrator Deloitte and Touche continue to meet with the major creditors this week, amongst them the Crown, as they carry on formulating a Company Voluntary Agreement (CVA) which will be acceptable to 75% of creditors based on value.

The CVA will be based on a number of projected scenarios for Town's next five years, from all five in the First Division to a mixed Premiership-First Division period through to an immediate promotion and a sustained period in the top division. Creditors are likely to receive a percentage of the amount they are owed over that period.
