![]() Thursday, 27th Mar 2003 10:54 Former Town boss George Burley says that he is interested in the vacant manager's job at Fulham. Yesterday Jean Tigana was told his contract with the Cottagers would not be renewed when it is up at the end of the season. Burley, who has been out of a job since leaving Town in October, says that he is looking to make a return to management: "I'm very flattered to be linked with the job. It's certainly one I would be very interested in. I've had my break and I'm desperate to get back in and show everybody what I can do." Since leaving Town he has been linked with a number of jobs and came close to joining Stoke City before deciding that a move to the Britannia Stadium was a step down. Burley, whose Town contract was due to end in 2006, has not been paid by Town since the end of December and is an unsecured creditor of the administration hit club. The former manager is likely to receive a small percentage of the amount owed on that contract.
