Forest 'Close to Agreeing Hutchinson Fee' Thursday, 14th Aug 2025 19:54 Nottingham Forest are reportedly closing in on agreeing a £37.5 million fee with the Blues for Omari Hutchinson.
Forest had an offer of £35 million turned down by Town last week but, according to The Athletic, talks regarding a £37.5 million deal for the England U21 international are at an advanced stage.
The fee would be a new record for the Blues, eclipsing the £30 million Chelsea paid for Liam Delap earlier in the summer.
Personal terms are said not to be an issue, while Hutchinson’s former side Chelsea are reported elsewhere to be due 25 per cent of the profit the Blues would make on the £20 million-plus-add-ons fee they paid for the Redhill-born attacker last summer.
However, despite an accord between the clubs being close, both Hutchinson and Forest are reported to still have other options.
Brentford previously had a number of bids turned down, the highest also £35 million, while Everton and Serie A Inter have also been linked.
Hutchinson has appeared certain to leave the Blues this summer having stayed behind when Town travelled to Auxerre for the final pre-season friendly with manager Kieran McKenna revealing on Tuesday that the 21-year-old “didn’t feel that he could contribute” at Bromley, having missed the season opener at Birmingham on Friday due to a throat infection.
Hutchinson is said to be a replacement for Anthony Elanga, who recently joined Newcastle for £55 million, at Forest.

Any comments from the seemingly 'anonymous' club owners ?

gps The owners let the people who know about football run the club. What could they possibly say about any player coming or going??????

Didn't look great in the premium last year I'm afraid this boy has delusions of grandure. Can't see him starting at Forest

Unfortunately he is a naive little boy who has had his head turned by a greedy money orientated rat of an agent who is only interested in the cut he will make out of the transfer fee, the agent has zero interest in itfc or the fans, if Hutchinson had shown some respect to the club during this transfer speculation and honoured his contract rather than acting like a spoilt brat and throwing his toys out of the pram he could have moved on with our best wishes rather than in the manner he has, take Broadhead for example

Your departure is lower than a snakes belly, do not expect a warm welcome if you ever return to Portman Road.

Little boy in a mans game. Thinks he is way better than he is and its all about the glitz and glamour for him. Just look at his Insta profile..... Sorry, but I despise people with attitudes like his in all walks of life. Men his age were flying Spitfires and Lancaster bomber's etc not too long ago. Broady showed how it should be done! A club man right till the end. I hope he fails and falls on is ar$e at Forest. He will end up doing the same to them. Pathetic little boy, run along now......

Perhaps the sweetener was a Strepsils sponsorship? Not pouring blame on Omari as suspect his agent is whispering very loudly in his ear...

1960H Are you talking about the same Broadhead who also refused to play before his big move to mighty Wrexham. Im not one of those fans who suffers with favourite player syndrome so my views are always unbiased. When players are on the verge of a big money transfer it would be stupid to play and possibly get injured their minds would be elsewhere anyway. Both players gave one hundred when wearing a Town shirt so i wish them both the best of luck.

There was a time when players absolutely hated not playing. They played for the love of the game and would play in pain rather than miss a game. Today so many players get paid huge amounts and hardly play a game. It would be interesting to know how many premier league squad players played less than ten games last season.

Benchwarmer or maybe even sent out on loan. Definite prospect but not a Prem player yet.

Blues1 who said broadhead weren't sick he's never refused to play if he did he wouldn't have played at birmingham so that's why he ain't getting stick like Mr I'm to good for little ipswich Hutchinson as for him being advised wrongly buy his agent it's not his agent who pays his wages the way he's treated this club is a disgrace that's nothing to do with age it's to do with a bad attitude I for one hope to never see him in a town shirt again and if are paths meet I hope every single town fan boo him and give him hell cos that's what he deserves
