Suffolk police are investigating malicious letters sent to striker Marcus Bent last December. They have confirmed that they received a complaint from the club and are looking into the matter.

Enquiries are ongoing into the "malicious communication" but police are refusing to confirm that Bent was the recipient. They are also not commenting on whether there was any racial aspect to the letters. They continue to search for the sender.

Earlier in the season Bent was on the end of abuse from some sections of the Portman Road crowd.
