![]() Monday, 19th May 2003 23:34 Town defender Chris Makin has denied that a bank is taking him to court over £50,000 accidently paid into his account. A tabloid newspaper claimed at the weekend that Makin had refused to repay the sum. The report said that a writ had been taken out by the Royal Bank of Scotland over the cash on which he is earning £10 in interest every day. The former Sunderland, Oldham and Marseille player says that there is no row and that the matter is being settled amicably: "It's not true but there is an ongoing situation which is close to being sorted so I can't really comment. It won't be a problem." The Royal Bank of Scotland are also refusing to comment on the matter.
