New signing Sasa Lukic makes his first appearance in a Town shirt as the Blues face Union Berlin at Stadion An der Alten Förstere (KO 2.30pm UK, 3.30pm local time).

The Serbian international lines up in midfield alongside Marcelino Nunez ahead of a back four of skipper Dara O’Shea at right-back, Issa Diop and Jacob Greaves the centre-halves and Leif Davis at left-back. Kjell Scherpen is in goal.

Sindre Walle Egeli is on the right of the attacking three with Jack Clarke the number 10 and Daizen Maeda on the left. Emersonn is up front.

Jaden Philogene and Christian Walton are back on the bench after injuries having not taken part in pre-season up to now, while Florentino Luis and Abdul Fatawu are both absent from the squad, presumably due to minor injuries. Young winger Tudor Mendel is again in the squad.

As previously reported, George Hirst and Alex Palmer didn’t travel with Stoke and Sunderland interested in the duo.
