Jim Magilton has been named Northern Ireland skipper by manager Sammy McIlroy for tonight's game with Yugoslavia. The Town midfielder gets the armband as both Gerry Taggart and Steve Lomas are missing with injury.

Bobby Robson has joined the growing list of fans of new signing Hermann Hreidarsson. Reports this morning suggest the former Town manager may have made a move to take the Icelander to St James' Park had Town not nipped in before him. Fans of Hreisarsson's previous clubs, Crystal Palace, Brentford and Wimbledon (none sadly from IBC Vestmann), have posted several messages on the TWTD website extolling the virtues of Town's new signing. Robson said of Hreidarsson's performance for Wimbledon at Newcastle last season: "He was absolutely stunning. He read every second ball into the box beautifully. His reading of the game in the second half was fantastic and he just kept catching my eye."

Town's Away Match Passport continues to cause concern. We've received several emails this morning from fans worried that their tickets for Spurs are yet to turn up. One fan said that he was one of a group of seventeen fans who had applied for the passport and so far only seven had received their tickets. The club have confirmed with some that they have been accepted onto the scheme, limited to 1000, however they are still awaiting tickets. Others have been told that their application to join the scheme has been lost. Also missing is a letter requesting that the seventeen be allocated seats together. The fans have contacted the ticket office by email and have tried to by phone. So far no reply has been received by email and the phones just keep ringing.

Town have a few injury worries for Saturday. Mark Venus has a problem with the ankle he had an operation on in the summer. Whilst John Scales has a minor thigh strain.
