Ivankov a Target?
Ivankov a Target?

Levski Sofia keeper Dimitar Ivankov claims that Town have made an approach for him. Rumours that the Blues are after the international first appeared in the Bulgarian press last week.

The shot interceptor told a Bulgarian newspaper that he "expected a development" in the next few days.

With Kelvin Davis brought in last week and Andy Marshall and James Pullen still on the books (although in the latter case on loan), it would be a surprise if Joe Royle were to bring in another keeper.

Ivankov, who did well in last Friday's friendly against Levski says he is a fan of the game over here: "I am a fan of English football and my dream is to play in England."

The 27-year-old was set to sign a new contract with Levski but they have said they won't stand in the way of a move abroad.
