Town are supporting Europe's biggest ever series of anti-racism activities this week. Fans, professional clubs, community groups and players from across the country are taking part in the national anti-racism week of action.

Prior to the Stoke game on Saturday Town's players will wear ant-racism T-shirts while anti-racism badges will be worn by staff and a fanzine style publication will be handed out around the ground.

Chairman David Sheepshanks told the club site that Town fully support the initiative: "A major concern in football, which is receiving mounting publicity, is the subject of racial taunts in the game, particularly in Europe.

"This week is the national anti-racism week of action in football and has been at the forefront of initiatives to combat racism in football.

"We actively support this campaign, and are pleased to participate in various community initiatives, which will educate people to eliminate racism and prejudice.

"Racism has no place at Portman Road and it is important that we work together to ensure that the game is safe for all to enjoy free from racism for future generations."
