![]() Friday, 17th Oct 2003 14:44 On-loan midfielder Alan Mahon is planning to entertain Town fans with an Irish jig should he net against Stoke on Saturday. The 25-year-old previously celebrated goals at Blackburn and Tranmere with the celtic-style prancing. Mahon, who admits to being caught unawares when he scored at Bradford last week, says he bases the frolic on his Dad's wedding antics: "I used to do it at Tranmere and Blackburn and it caught on with some of the lads. Even Marcus Bent copied it. It's based on the way my dad dances at weddings. "But he said people back in Dublin were starting to take the mickey, so I dropped it. Now I'm thinking of bringing it back again." Mahon has become hugely popular since moving to Town on loan and has said he wants to remain at Portman Road if at all possible.
