 Friday, 19th Dec 2003 17:08 Town chief executive Derek Bowden has confirmed that the club is in final negotiations with Sir Elton John regarding a concert at Portman Road on June 16th 2004. Bowden welcomed the news of Portman Road's latest attraction: "Hot on the heels of bringing the England international to Ipswich, this is fantastic news and once again confirms that Portman Road is fast becoming the number one entertainment venue for East Anglia."
