 Monday, 5th Jan 2004 19:37 Town boss Joe Royle has refuted this morning's newspaper report claiming he was interested in taking Charlton's Chris Powell on loan. Royle told the club site that he has made a few initial enquiries but nothing stronger than that: "I have not spoken to any player about a loan move here and that includes Chris Powell, so I don't know where the story has come from."
