![]() Thursday, 8th Jan 2004 11:08 Young central defender Gerard Nash will have his cruciate knee ligament operation on Friday. It is the second time the Irishman has required surgery on an injury of this type, a similar problem having kept him out for a year. Nash recently underwent an operation to clean away cartilege and needed to recover from that before this latest surgery. The 17-year-old will not be back in action until pre-season of 2004/05.
