Joe Delighted With Draw Saturday, 31st Jan 2004 21:23 Town boss Joe Royle admitted to being delighted with a draw after his side put in an underpar performance at Coventry. Neither side hit the heights in a scruffy game which never really took off until the last ten minutes. Royle said: "I'm delighted to have escaped with a draw. Realistically we could have easily won it because we had two great chances but that would have been hard on Coventry. "Kelvin Davis made two terrific saves. He cost us a goal last week against Sunderland but he made up for it today. "That was one of our worst performances of the season." New Coventry boss Eric Black felt a draw was the correct score: "I suppose 1-1 was a fair result at the end of it. "We're in a position where every game is vital to us. It's the standards of our performances that I am looking at and if we can get that consistency we won't be far away from the play- offs."
