Town Answer Share Query

A number of new Town shareholders have asked the club why the share certificates they received this week show a value per share of 25p and not the £20 per share they recently paid for their stake in ITFC.

The shares have a nominal value of 25p each - the issue value of the original shares in Ipswich Town Football Club in 1936.

The current market value for the shares is £20 each, which what they cost in the recent issue issue.

Were they to be sold now via Charles Stanley, the club's broker, £20 is what an investor could expect to get in return, with the value of the shares likely to fluctuate up and down in the future.

There is no guarantee that Charles Stanley would have a buyer as the trading of shares is on a matched bargain basis. In other words, in order to sell the shares, Charles Stanley would actively need to find a buyer for them.

If any new shareholders have any further queries the club invite them to contact Melissa Bryan on 01473 400746.
