Murray to See Specialist
Murray to See Specialist

Academy midfielder Antonio Murray is set to see a specialist about a shin splints problem which has seen him miss large periods of this season. Murray signed his first professional contract with Town in the summer and seemed set to play some role in the Blues' Division One campaign.

Club physio Dave Williams told the club site: "Antonio had a bad time with shin splints a few years ago and had to undergo surgery.

"He was fine last year, no problems, but has been troubled by the problem for much of this season and will be seeing a specialist again this week.

"He's had a bone and MRI scan and the specialist will investigate further on how to proceed.

"It maybe that Antonio has an injection in the hope that the problem will settle down quickly or further surgery may be needed."

Murray made his senior debut as a sub in the 4-1 win at Derby County on the final day of last season.
