![]() Thursday, 18th Mar 2004 13:33 Blues' boss Joe Royle says he is still hopeful of bringing in a second loan player before the March 25th deadline. Town brought in Matt Elliott earlier this week, but Royle says he still has other targets. Royle says: “Matt was the one I was confident would come in before the deadline. I had a verbal agreement with him that he would come in after last weekend as he wanted to spend some time with his family. He was the one I was confident about, but there's still a chance of maybe one more.” “The two players I am interested in are both injured at the moment, but not seriously. There is still a chance I will get one of them.” Royle has revealed that Newcastle United full-back Robbie Elliott was recently the subject of an enquiry, although he seems less inclined to look for a left-back at present with Matt Richards getting over a tricky patch: “I made an enquiry about Robbie Elliott — he was one of a few people on my shortlist — but it never got further than that. “Matt has since played his way through that spell and is back in form again, and so the problem doesn't exist any more.”
