Town boss Joe Royle opted out of the post-match press conference, however, central defender Matt Elliott did comment after the Blues came from behind to win 3-1 at Rotherham.

Elliott said Town switched things after a disappointing first half: "We changed our style after the break and it was a wonder strike by Jermaine Wright that got us back on level terms.

"That inspired us to go on and get the result that we did.

"I would like to think it was our quality that changed things for us."

Rotherham boss Ronnie Moore had plenty to say about his side's defeat, surprisingly feeling the Millers ought to have been awarded a number of penalties: "At least Dick Turpin wore a mask when he did it but we had enough of the game. In the first half we were magnificent and you wouldn't have guessed who was bottom and who was top.

β€œIn the second half Town started to bosh the ball kicking it long and we got deeper and deeper but we still had the best chances in the game. Proctor and Butler both had good chances and the keeper made a great save from Butler that would have put us 2-0 up.

"That's what I mean about being ruthless, if it had been at the other end the ball would have been in the back of the net. It was a wonder goal that got them back in the game, the ball could have hit the clock or gone over the stand β€” unfortunately for us it went in the net.

"We could have had two penalties β€” the one on John Mullin was a cert there's no two ways about that. Mullers was away from him and that's shows when people haven't played the game and they don't know what it's about.

"It's cruel when you are down there but I have nothing but praise for the way we played, I'm just gutted with the scoreline because anyone would think we have had a good hiding.

"We lost the discipline for the second goal and that's what frustrates me, a point against Ipswich wouldn't have been a bad result but we were caught by a ball over the top. We don't get enough.

"If you don't take your chances when they come, that's what happens, our crowd have gone home thinking 'how have we lost?', well I feel the same."
