![]() Thursday, 13th May 2004 18:26 Town have named a 17-man party for the first leg of the play-off semi-final against West Ham. Meanwhile, former loanee Alan Mahon says he is backing the Blues for Premiership promotion. Tommy Miller and Chris Bart-Williams are both in the squad with Georges Santos likely to be the man to drop out of the squad on the day of the match unless either Miller or Bart-Williams suffers a recurrence of their recent injuries. Mahon, who spent the autumn at Portman Road, narrowly missed out on a play-off place with Wigan and says he is behind Town as they seek promotion: "I'm backing Ipswich all the way. "I've a lot of friends down there. I still speak to some of the lads — big Shefki, Tommy Miller, Jamma and Georges Santos — and I'd love them to go all the way. "I keep an eye on how they are doing. I enjoyed my football there and everyone knows I would have been very interested in signing permanently. "But they couldn't come up with the money to match what Blackburn wanted and Wigan did. They are another decent club and have been very good to me. "To be honest I was looking forward to the play-offs and the possibility of playing Ipswich. That would have felt a bit strange to me, but you get these situations in football. In the end it just wasn't to be." Town squad: Bart-Williams, Bent, Bowditch, Davis, Elliott, Kuqi, Magilton, McGreal, Miller, Naylor, Price, Reuser, Richards, Santos, Westlake, Wilnis and Wright.
