Trust Benefit Gig
Trust Benefit Gig
Wednesday, 16th Jun 2004 14:12

Music-loving Town fans are particularly well catered for this week with a benefit gig for Ipswich Town Ist, the supporters trust, hot on the heels of the Elton John concert.

The Trust gig sees local tunesters They Fight Crime in action at the Steamboat Tavern in New Cut West on Saturday evening.

They Fight Crime are fronted by Clive Watling, formerly of Elmerhassel and Chocolate. Clive is a North Stand season ticket holder and named an Elmerhassel album John Wark in tribute to the Town legend.

They also recorded a version of the classic Town song Ipswich Get That Goal which was featured on the Songs of Ipswich Town album a couple of years ago.

Clive was also behind Psycho Delia's Pride in Ipswich single which remains the only CD to appear on the TWTD label.

To get an idea of the They Fight Crime sound, listen to them on their website here.

They Fight Crime will be releasing their first single, Made For Each Other, in July.
