![]() Tuesday, 29th Jun 2004 12:32 Midfielder Jermaine Wright looks set to join relegated Leeds United after turning down the offer of a new two-year contract with the Blues. According to reports, the Yorkshire club are set to offer Wright a two or three-year deal. Leeds were first reported to be after the 28-year-old towards the end of last season, with Eveton, Southampton and Charlton also linked. A Leeds spokesman confirmed that the ex-Crewe, Wolves and Millwall man was speaking to them: "We are interested in him and will be holding talks with him." Wright has been pencilled in for an Elland Road medical today. Leeds were also interested in released Town midfielder Chris Bart-Williams, however, the flamboyant midfielder didn't fancy a switch to the cash-strapped club.
