![]() Monday, 9th Aug 2004 16:07 Town striker Pablo Couñago says he needs to shoot the Blues into the Premiership if he is to win a new contract at Portman Road. The Spaniard's current deal is up at the end of the season. Couñago says that despite suggestions he might be on his way he is enjoying his time at Town: "I have read all the speculation about me leaving Ipswich and about me being the biggest wage-earner. "I take no notice and as a footballer at this level you expect this. I like it here and want to score goals and enjoy my football. "To earn a new contract I need to help fire Ipswich into the Premiership. "Another season at this level and it will mean I will probably have to leave."
