Reuser Nets Hat-trick

Former Town midfielder Martijn Reuser netted the first hat-trick of his Willem II career as his new side beat his former club Vitesse 3-2 in a hard-fought Eredivisie game on Saturday. Reuser joined Town from Vitesse in 2000 for £1 million and left Portman Road on a free transfer in the summer.

The one-time Dutch international struck in the 14th, 30th and 43rd minutes, his second two goals coming from the penalty spot in what appears to have been a lively game, the referee issuing nine yellow cards.

The ex-Town man is also reported to have been involved in a half-time tunnel bust-up with Vitesse's Stijntje Vreven, who had earlier stamped on a Willem II player after one of the penalty incidents.

Reuser scored his first goal for the Tilburg based side in last weekend's 3-1 defeat to Town's 1981 UEFA Cup final foes AZ Alkmaar.
