Wright Unhappy Monday, 15th Nov 2004 10:08 Former Town midfielder Jermaine Wright says he was unhappy at the way the offer of a new deal with the Blues was handled by the club. Wright returned to Portman Road with Leeds on Saturday, picking up a yellow card and was substituted before the end. The ex-Crewe, Wolves and Millwall man was taunted with chants of "one greedy bastard" but says cash wasn't his only motivation in making his summer move to Elland Road: "I'm not going to lie and say money doesn't come into it but that was not the reason I left. "It would have been nice to have an opportunity to talk to the club, but I was told there is your offer and that is it. Respond in 30 days. "After being here five years and being a good servant to the club, I feel it could have been handled better. "The bottom line was there were no negotiations and I felt I deserved better than that, so that was it." Wright spoke out after Town boss Joe Royle claimed that money was the main reason the midfielder moved to Elland Road.
