![]() Tuesday, 1st Feb 2005 23:55 Town's U18s will face Colchester United in the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup if they beat Aston Villa in round five. In rounds three and four the Town youngsters have beaten Portsmouth 3-2 and Stoke City 2-1, both after extra-time. Colchester beat Crewe 2-1 at Layer Road in the fifth round on Tuesday night and will take on Town or Villa at home in the next round. The Blues face the Villans at Portman Road on Wednesday, February 16th (KO 7pm). If Town do make it to the sixth round and a rare meeting with Colchester, the game must be played before March 19th. The FA have already made the draw for the semi-finals, with Town, Villa or Colchester pencilled in to meet one of Watford, holders Middlesbrough, Tottenham or Everton over two legs, the first game at home on April 9th and the second away on April 23rd. The two-legged final, covered live by Sky, will be played on Monday, 23th May and Friday, 27th May. The Blues, if they make it that far, will want to play the home leg first, as the stage from the Neil Diamond gig the previous night is likely to still be in place on the day of the second game.
