Boss Joe Royle has refused to be drawn on whether Leicester City striker James Scowcroft is one of his summer targets. Scowcroft and another former Blue, defender Chris Makin, are not expected to be in the Foxes' starting line-up at Portman Road on Saturday.

Makin has the flu bug which has also affected Alan Maybury and Keith Gillespie and is not expected to be in the travelling party.

Royle admits he was unhappy with the way Makin walked out on the club last summer: "I was disappointed with Chris when he left and in the fashion he did."

Leicester's other ex-Blue has been the main focus of attention ahead of the game, but Royle won't comment on the 29-year-old returning: "As for James, I'm just thinking of Saturday. We can't start talking about players we are interested in until we know what division we are going to be in."

Scowcroft is expected to be on the bench with recent signing Mark De Vries coming into the side.

Town's strike force will be unchanged with both Shefki Kuqi and Darren Bent back in training after their knocks.
