Town have confirmed that James Scowcroft has signed on loan until the end of the season. Scowcroft's return to Portman Road was predicted by TWTD last week and has been hastened by Shefki Kuqi's thigh injury.

The former U21 will make his second Town debut at Preston's Deepdale on Friday night.

Kuqi is now expected to be out for more than a month rather than the three to four weeks which was initially expected.

The Finnish international has a deep puncture wound to his thigh, received in a clash with Dion Dublin during Saturday's 2-1 win against Leicester.
