The Blues have arranged a reserves friendly with Cambridge United at the Playford Road Training Ground next Wednesday (KO noon). The Town second string have had a number of games postponed of late at a time when a number of players are coming back from injury.

Reserves boss Steve McCall told the club site: "Gerard Nash, Drissa Diallo and Jimmy Juan all need games after coming back from injury, but because of the weather and other factors we have lost out on three or four matches recently.

"We are trying to rearrange dates for some reserve league matches at the moment but it's not proving to be easy.

"It was important that we set up something for next week to get the players going again for 90 minutes."

Later the same day, the Town U18s take on Colchester United in their FA Youth Cup sixth round tie at Layer Road (KO 7.30pm). Colchester have already sold 800 tickets and are expecting a crowd in excess of 2,000.

The U's are segregating fans for the game with Town supporters given blocks E, F, G, H, I and J and Terrace Six.

Tickets are available from Colchester's Ticket Office - 0871 2262161 - and cost £7 for adults, £5 for concessions and £2 for under-16s.
