![]() Thursday, 10th Mar 2005 17:39 Town's Education and Sports Trust welcome guests from clubs in the Norwegian Premier League this weekend. The Scandinavians are on a fact-finding and idea-sharing mission. The Blues have been forging links with clubs in Norway, as they have with other teams throughout Europe. Earlier this week TWTD revealed that the club is working on relationships with Icelandic sides and in 2002 we reported on Town representatives visiting Norwegian side Odd Grenland. By the end of the season, the tie-up with Grenland will have seen 108 young players visit Portman Road, while 135 youngsters from Town's training centres will have made the return trip. Odd Grenland's community scheme, very much based on Town's, is the first of its type in Norway. The delegates from other clubs will investigate Town's education and coaching programmes and aim to replicate them at their clubs. The Norwegians will be the guests of the club at Saturday's match against Nottingham Forest.
