Winger Jaime Peters has been called into the Canada U20 squad for a training camp in Germany next month. The 17-year-old recently scored his first goal since agreeing to join the Blues in the reserves friendly win against Cambridge United.

Peters will join up with the rest of the squad on April 19th and will be involved in matches against China and Egypt during the 11-day camp.

The highly-rated youngster, who will officially join the Blues after his 18th birthday on May 4th, has already won six caps at senior level, 10 for the U20s, one for the U23 side - coached by former Blue Bruce Twamley - and six for the U17 team.

Canada are using the camp as preparation for the FIFA World Youth Championship in Holland in June. They have been drawn in Group E along with Colombia, Italy and Syria.

Peters will be in full international action on Saturday when Frank Yallop's senior Canada side take on Portugal in Barcelos.
