![]() Friday, 29th Apr 2005 11:34 Sunday sees some of Town's stars of the past in action at Portman Road once again when the club hold their inaugural Legends Day. John Wark, George Burley, Russell Osman, Jason Dozzell, Mick Stockwell and Chris Kiwomya will all be in a Town shirt again when they face a side from Sky's Soccer AM. The TV show's Badgers team includes Neil Ruddock, ex-Canary Keith O'Neill as well as host Tim Lovejoy. The match is preceded by a fun day on the practice pitch which begins at 12.30pm, the match getting under way at 3pm. Simon Milton arranged the event with club archivist Pat Godbold and says a number of less match-fit former Blues will also be in attendance: "Even ex-players who are not playing in the game are coming down to watch and will be signing autographs and meeting fans. The likes of Alan Brazil, Mick Mills, Bryan Hamilton, Roger Osborne and John Elsworthy are all saying they will come along. "It's going to be a big family fun day. There will be lots of stalls and games on the practice pitch for the whole family to enjoy and it's a chance for fans to come along and meet their heroes." The Britannia Stand and North Stand lower tier are open for Sunday's event. Supporters wanting to attend the fun day aspect of the afternoon as well as the match will need to buy tickets for the Britannia Stand in advance from the Ticket Office. Gates open at 12:30pm for the pre-match events. Those only wanting to attend the match itself can buy tickets for the Lower North Stand on the day with cash turnstiles in operation from 1.30pm. Tickets are priced at £5 for adults and £2 for children.
