![]() Monday, 4th Dec 2000 14:22 Away Match Passport holders may have missed an announcement at Saturday's game to the effect that the scheme is not running for the Manchester City Worthington Cup game. The club say that so many Passport holders had cancelled their seats that they have withdrawn it for this game. An announcement was apparently made over the tannoy on Saturday, but such is the poor quality of sound at Portman Road many missed it. In order to claim a ticket Away Match Passport holders must ring up the club. As no tickets are being held back for them holders who regularly are allocated seats together must ring up together to avoid getting seats allocated at random. There was more woe for fans on Saturday as long queues once again formed outside the North Stand. Again one of the the seven turnstiles were closed and, as against Coventry, many missed the kick off. Similarly there were once again huge tailbacks on the roads away from the ground. Police were directing traffic from some roundabouts, however no-one was trying to sort out the mess that forms at the Jobcentre end of Portman Road.
