![]() Wednesday, 11th May 2005 12:36 Striker Charlie Sheringham has been given a year's contract with the club. Sheringham, son of West Ham striker Teddy, has been on a short-term deal with the Blues and has done enough during that time to impress Town's management. The 17-year-old, released by Spurs last summer, was a regular member of the FA Youth Cup-winning squad. Charlie's father looks unlikely to play for the Hammers in either leg of the play-off semi-final due to a torn hamstring.
