![]() Friday, 13th May 2005 16:25 Winger or striker Dean McDonald has been offered a one-year deal with the Blues. Manager Joe Royle revealed last month that he planned to keep the former Arsenal trainee but didn't specify how long a contract the 18-year-old would receive. McDonald, released by the Gunners last summer, joined the Blues on trial before Christmas and did enough to win a short-term deal in which to further impress the Town management. Royle told the club site that McDonald had made a big impression in the reserves: "He's come in and done well. He takes players on and has pace about him, but with a physical bite as well."
