![]() Friday, 3rd Jun 2005 14:50 Veteran full-back Fabian Wilnis says he will sign his new one-year deal with Town. The 34-year-old joined the Blues from De Graafschap in 1999 for £200,000 and has made 250 appearances, scoring five goals. Wilnis says a few points still have to be settled but that he is happy to remain with Town: "There are one or two minor details to sort out, but I don't see any major problems. "I would like to stay with Ipswich and think, and hope, that I will." Meanwhile, Sunderland have completed the signing of Waterford United striker Daryl Murphy for £70,000. The Irish U21 international impressed in two trials at Portman Road and boss Joe Royle was keen to bring him to Portman Road this summer. Out-of-contract Reading frontman Nicky Forster has been linked with a move to the Blues. Joe Royle revealed last week that he has an out of contract player in mind as Darren Bent's replacement. Former Blue Tony Vaughan is in talks with Eircom League side Shamrock Rovers.
