![]() Monday, 6th Jun 2005 11:38 Former Town striker Marcus Stewart has agreed to join Bristol City on a two-year contract. Stewart, who was available on a Bosman free transfer, supported the club as a boy and had been linked with a move to Ashton Gate for a couple of seasons. Stewart will formally sign the deal when his Sunderland contract is up at the end of June. The 32-year-old, who started his career with Bristol Rovers, is glad to be returning home: "I was a City supporter as a youngster and there will always be a place in my heart for the club."
