Reports are once again linking Kieron Dyer with a move away from Newcastle. Stories today suggest that Bobby Robson will have to sell Dyer, Alain Goma and Marcelino in a bid to raise some cash to strengthen the Newcastle squad.

Dyer is rated at £11 million in the latest reports, although previous stories have suggested even higher values. The most likely destination is thought to be Leeds with Michael Bridges moving to Newcastle as part of the deal.

The former Town player is thought to be unhappy in the North-East and has consistently got himself into grief since his move there. His holiday video activities as well as a penchant for local nightclubs have been under the scrutiny of the press and recently he was to be questioned by police after witnessing an incident in Newcastle city centre.

This is of interest to Town as the deal fixed in the summer of 1999 means that Town will receive a percentage of any future transfers. This might just work perfectly for George Burley to strengthen the side as we enter the second half of the season.
