![]() Sunday, 10th Jul 2005 23:54 Jaime Peters came on as a 68th minute sub for the senior Canada side as they lost their second CONCACAF Gold Cup match 2-0 to the US. Peters, who was winning his tenth cap, will officially join the Blues when he returns from the US-based tournament. An Atiba Hutchison own goal put the hosts ahead just after half-time and LA Galaxy striker Landon Donovan, who played under Canada coach Frank Yallop at the San Jose Earthquakes, put the result beyond reach in the final minute. Canada complete their group campaign when they take on Cuba on Tuesday. Despite defeats in their first two games, the Canucks can still qualify for the quarter-finals as two of the three sides finishing third in the first phase groups go through.
