Town have left the number one shirt vacant for 2005/06 as youngsters Lewis Price and Shane Supple vie for the regular keeper's role in the first team. Price keeps the number 34 he wore last season, while Supple sticks with 31.

The rest of the squad will also be in shirts familiar from last season with the number five shirt also unclaimed, presumably in readiness for the new defender Joe Royle is currently targeting.

As reported on the days they signed, new frontmen Nicky Forster and Sam Parkin will wear numbers eight and nine respectively.

Goalkeeper coach Andy Rhodes keeps the number 25 shirt he was given as an emergency measure last season, while Canadian winger Jaime Peters will be allocated his number when he returns from international duty.
