Juan Out of Tour
Juan Out of Tour
Thursday, 21st Jul 2005 12:30

Midfielder Jimmy Juan is out of Town's two-match tour to Hungary. The squad travel to Budapest today ahead of games with Újpest on Friday (KO 8pm local time) and Diósgyõri on Sunday (KO 5pm).

The loanee from Monaco picked up a foot injury in the game at Boston on Saturday and was given a fitness test prior to the squad leaving for Stansted this morning.

Kevin Horlock had already been ruled out of the trip due to a dead leg. The absence of both Juan and Horlock is likely to mean that 17-year-old Irish midfielder Owen Garvan will play a greater role than would otherwise have been the case.

Another absentee from the tour party is manager Joe Royle who is no fit enough to make the trip after his recent knee operation. Assistant manager Willie Donachie will be in charge with reserve boss Steve McCall and goalkeeper coach Andy Rhodes also travelling.
