Keeper Lewis Price looks likely to miss Town's home game with Sheffield Wednesday next Saturday and the Carling Cup match with Yeovil on the following Tuesday. However, the Wales international call-up, who has already been pulled out of John Toshack's squad for Wednesday's friendly with Slovenia, is not likely to be out of action for too long.

Price has had an x-ray after sustaining the injury when saving at the feet of Leicester's Mark De Vries on Saturday and physio Dave Williams told the club site that there is no serious problem: "There are no signs of structural damage which is a relief.

"We thought there might be ligament problems and they could have kept him out for several weeks, but the scans have indicated that that isn't the case.

"The knee is badly bruised though, with some swelling and, although it's early to make a judgment, normally you are looking at maybe seven to 10 days for a recovery period.

"I would say at the moment Lewis will be doubtful for next weekend and maybe the Carling Cup game on the following Tuesday."

Town appear happy for Shane Supple to continue to deputise for Price while he recuperates, with keeper-coach Andy Rhodes, 41, probably on the bench. Young Icelandic stopper Óskar Pétursson, who joined the academy in the summer, is currently out of action with a broken wrist.
