Town have a number of new injury worries ahead of Saturday's home game with Sheffield Wednesday. Skipper Jim Magilton and strikers Nicky Forster and Dean McDonald are all concerns ahead of the visit of Paul Sturrock's side.

Magilton hurt a toe in Saturday's 0-0 draw at Leicester, while Forster was replaced in the second half due to a swollen knee. McDonald picked up an ankle injury in last night's reserve game against Portsmouth.

All three will miss training ahead of the Owls game but are expected to be OK.

Town are already without Jason De Vos with cracked ribs, although the Canadian is hopeful he will be back in action for the trip to Millwall on the following Saturday.

Lewis Price's condition has improved and the keeper is rated as 50/50 for the Sheffield Wednesday game after damaging his left knee in Saturday's match at Leicester. If he misses out, Shane Supple will continue between the sticks with goalkeeper-coach Andy Rhodes on the bench.

Even if he is involved against Wednesday, Supple is likely to be back in the first team when they face Yeovil Town in the Carling Cup at Portman Road next Tuesday.

Defenders Aidan Collins and Scott Barron came through last night's reserve game OK and Collins could find himself in the first team squad at the weekend with the Blues still short of central defenders.

Collins has made one senior Town appearance, as a sub in the final match of the 2002/03 season at Derby County.

Both players could be involved in the Carling Cup tie, Barron having made his senior debut in the competition last season before a groin problem kept him out of action.
