![]() Tuesday, 16th Aug 2005 20:38 On-loan defender Mark Fish has decided to retire from football in the wake of his disastrous 45-minute Town debut at QPR a week ago. The former South African international, 31, says a knee injury is preventing him from playing at his best. The Charlton central defender said: "I can no longer play to the standards I have set myself and therefore I feel it is time to move on." After leaving South Africa, Fish played for Lazio and Bolton before moving on to Charlton. Fish won 62 international caps and scored two goals.
