Academy coach Paul Goddard has left the club to take up a role with agent Jonathan Barnett's Stellar Group. Goddard has been working with the Blues youngsters on a part-time basis since leaving his job as assistant manager at West Ham in 2004 having previously been a full-time coach in Town's youth set-up.

The former striker will be responsible for sourcing, signing and managing players in the London and the South East area.

Barnett is pleased to have made the appointment: "Paul has tremendous experience of identifying and working with young players and is a highly respected coach.

"He brings a wealth of experience to the Group and I am sure will further help us to improve and expand the football division."

Five current Town players are represented by Barnett's company: Matt Richards, Lewis Price, Scott Mitchell, Ian Westlake and Darryl Knights. Former Blues Richard Wright, Kieron Dyer, Titus Bramble, Kelvin Davis, Darren Bent, Matt Holland, Jermaine Wright and Antonio Murray also employ the controversial agent.
