Boss Joe Royle has admitted that a Town scout recently watched Conference club Grays Athletic, but refused to confirm that striker Dennis Oli is the man interesting the Blues. Reports over the weekend claimed Town are keeping an eye on the former QPR man.

Royle said: "We had someone at a Grays game and I have seen the report. That is all to say on the matter."

Grays have a number of promising young players in their ranks and turned down a bid from Reading for 17-year-old midfielder Gary Hooper in the summer.
