Barron Targeting Deal

Scott Barron is targeting winning a new contract after making his league debut as a sub against Wolves last Saturday. The full-back or midfielder,20, saw much of last season wiped out by injury problems.

Barron told the club site: "I had two groin operations and eventually it was discovered that I had a double hernia, so I had more surgery in the summer.

"It has been a terrible year for me, but I'm fit again now and hoping to make up for lost time.

"Playing against Wolves and making my league debut has given me a real boost and now I want to push on from here.

"I'm out of contract in the summer, so it's a big year for me and I need to show the manager that I am worth a new deal. I need to force my way into the squad on a regular basis."
