![]() Wednesday, 1st Feb 2006 12:45 On-loan striker Dean Bowditch suffered a recurrence of his hip injury and was withdrawn at half-time during Wycombe's 0-0 draw at Northampton on Tuesday night. The England U19 international is hopeful he will be available for their Saturday game at Wrexham. Bowditch said: "I did it a couple of months ago and just played through it last time. Then I was out for a while, so this time I didn't want to risk it because I felt a tickle and the gaffer understood. "It's sore at the moment but hopefully it'll be all right for Saturday." Bowditch, making his first start for the Chairboys after a debut as a sub on Saturday, came close to scoring his first goal of the season but was thwarted by a brilliant Lee Harper save: "I was already running off celebrating. "He has whacked a hand out from somewhere and made a great save. I congratulated him afterwards because it was that good, but that's the way it's going for me at the moment. "Apart from reserve games, I haven't scored for a while, so hopefully one will come off my shin soon." Town defender Aidan Collins, also on loan at the Causeway Stadium, was on the bench for John Gorman's side.
