Shane Supple says he expects fellow Irishman Michael Synnott to be the next academy youngster to push on into the first team next season. Supple was speaking to TWTD in issue 82 of the fanzine which will be on sale around the ground before Saturday's game with Stoke City.

Synnott's season has been wrecked by knee and ankle injuries and the 19-year-old has had to watch compatriots Supple, Owen Garvan and Billy Clarke all progress into the first team.

However, the Town keeper says he fully expects the full-back to make his mark next season: "I think he's got a fantastic chance and showed prior to his injuries that he's got the ability.

"He's just been very unlucky this season. But I have no doubt that he will come back and will be pushing next season as he's a fantastic talent."

Supple also feels Billy Clarke will benefit from his loan spell at Colchester United: "The experience he's going to get at Colchester will do him no harm at all and he'll come back a stronger player. It looks like it's going to be an exciting season next year."

TWTD 82, which also includes an interview with Martijn Reuser, will be available from our sellers around Portman Road (by Sir Alf, next to Planet Blue and by the Portman Road Greene King Stand entrance)for two hours before kick-off.

Six-issue subscriptions are available at the reduced rate for the last time today via .
