![]() Tuesday, 4th Jul 2006 10:56 Full-back or midfielder Sammy Moore has signed his one-year professional deal with the club. TWTD was first to break the news that the academy youngster had been offered a contract back in March. Moore, a member of the 2005 FA Youth Cup-winning side, told the club site that he will relish the chance to push for senior involvement: "It's great to know that I've got another year here and now the challenge for me is to break into the first team. "There is a massive year ahead and I've got to get my head down and really show what I can do. "That's been the way I have tried to approach things since I first walked through the door here; to give it everything and hope it's enough." Dover-born Moore, now 18, joined the Blues in 2004 after leaving Chelsea's youth set-up having impressed in games against Town's youngsters. The current Premiership champions had paid £20,000 compensation to Charlton when they signed Moore in 2002.
