![]() Monday, 7th Aug 2006 12:31 Boss Jim Magilton has confirmed that Coventry have shown an interest in Sam Parkin but says that there has been no further contact. The Northern Irishman also refuted suggestions that the striker was left out of Saturday's squad at the Sky Blues' request. Magilton told the club site: "There was an initial enquiry from Coventry and we rejected an offer, but there's been nothing more since. "Sam is still part of my thinking and will be in the squad for Tuesday's game against Wolves. "He was in the squad for the Palace game but didn't make my 16 because I felt his form in pre-season wasn't as good as the other players who were in the squad." Various reports this morning linked Parkin with a move to Coventry with a £100,000 plus top-ups offer claimed to have been turned down by one source and a £250,000 bid said to be on the way by another.
